JINHAO Centennial 100 Fountain Pen 18KGP Golden Plated M Nib Acr Aqua + Pink driven by a simple passion to bring names both recognised and experimental to successive generations of customers. Office Products => Office School Supplies => Writing Correction Supplies I've purchased several Jinhao pens, and this Centenial 100 is a great pen, overall, but the nib was not especially smooth... I had to do a bit of work on it. My experience with Jinhao pens is that most of the nibs are just fine, occasionally they're really nice and smooth, and sometimes they're really poor and scratchy (my experience has been the same with Moonman pens, only more so). That said, even before any work on the nib, it was reliable... no hard starts, and it produced a nice, even line.Anyway, the pen is solidly built, and a good size... a little larger than a LAMY Safari, but about the same. All of the pen's hardware is chome/silver, so the "18KGP" is nonsense, but that goes without saying. Overall, a good pen at a great price.
Incredible value for money. One of the smoothest and best performing nibs in my collection on 20+ pens, many costing over 0-0.Perfect thick size without being ridiculous. Doesn't post well at all, but that doesn't really matter when it's the dust that it is. Buy it...This is a very nice pen. It has the look of the old Parker "Big Red" pen, or the Parker Duofold, but at a tiny fraction of the price. The nib appears to be gold-plated, and is labeled "Jinhao," so it is not one of those generic "Iridium point Germany" things (which may or may not actually be "Iridium," and may or may not actually come from Germany!) I have heard that the nibs on Jinhao pens can be hit-or-miss, but I got a nice one. I'm very pleased with it.It is a fairly large pen, but it feels good in my hand. (I am a fairly large man–-six foot, and wear a large or extra-large glove.). I don't know that someone with hands any smaller would like it.It feels unbalanced when posted. That's not necessarily a *bad* thing. Some pens are not *intended* to be used when posted, and I think this is one of them. But if you prefer to write with a pen that is posted, this is probably *not* for you.It looks good in my pen stand, and I like it for writing. The nib is good. Nothing to dislike.Five stars, would definitely recommend!(I took a pic, and I managed to AirDrop it to my Mac Mini, but clicking on "Add a photo" does not do anything, nor does dragging the file into the page. Sorry!)
Best Jinhao pen I have purchased. High quality and very smooth writing. Liked it so much I have bought a second. This will be my go-to writing pen. I own maybe 30 fountain pens this is the best writer I have tried.
I like it. If you want a thinner nib, try getting a #6 nib from some place like Osprey Pens. You can unscrew the nib unit, slip out the nib and put in the Osprey steel XF or XXF nib. The plastic unit that screws in and out of the pen must be used; the standard unit that comes with most western #6 nibs will not fit, as there are too many fine threads compared to the threading on the Jinhao plastic unit.I really like the pen, but I wanted an XF so I switched out the nib., It is pretty simple to do.
I am impressed! The pen came in a nice box and it looks more that what I paid for. Upon careful inspection I did not find any flaw . The screw cap is perfect and the size is perfect for my hand . Writes like a dream.
I am a sucker for orange and it writes well.
I have nothing bad to say Looks perfect and writes smooth
